Youth Development

The Rehoboth Community Trust (T221/03) invited applications for tertiary education bursaries for the 2016 academic year. Preference was given to candidates pursuing BscAgric (Plant & Soil Sciences / Animal Sciences), BSc Engineering, and Project Management. Applicants had to be Namibian citizens normally resident within the Hardap Region, with excellent scholastic results. Preference was given to scholastically gifted applicants from low- to middle-income households.

We proudly present the Rehoboth Community Trust 2026 bursary beneficiaries. These prospective students were the top performers selected from a large pool of applications, based exclusively on their academic performance in 2025. Recipients: • Nicole Basson — Bachelor in Commerce (Accounting), University of Namibia (UNAM) • Sune Farmer — BAccounting (CA stream), Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) • Juan Coetzee — Bachelor of Medical Health Sciences, Cavendish University, Zambia • Rushmere Tities — B-LLB (Law), University of the Free State We congratulate them and wish them every success with their studies.

The Rehoboth Community Trust has been running a scholarship scheme since 2006. In 2016, an amount of N$163,986.00 was made available, helping 3 new students pursue tertiary education. Scholarships were awarded strictly on academic merit, with the requirement that students put their acquired knowledge back into the community upon completion of studies. Rehoboth Community Trust continues its annual bursary programme — empowering, equipping, uplifting, facilitating, and enabling the next generation of Namibian students.

The Trust continued its annual bursary programme in 2021, supporting four students in higher education: • Daniel Hammond — Bachelor of Property Science, University of Namibia University of Science and Technology (N$74,580/year) • Ava-Maria Greiner — Bachelor of Arts, University of Namibia (N$80,580/year) • Tiaan Diergaardt — Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, North-West University, South Africa (N$85,310/year) • Armandi Groenewaldt — Bachelor of Veterinary Science/Medicine, University of Namibia (N$47,500/year)
